LA was my third time traveling solo, I met couple people from Europe at the Hostel in the near of Hollywood Boulevard where I stayed, and the atmosphere was great and the people as well. The hostel was very affordable, I was in the 4 bed-rooms and we share 2 different bathrooms. If I remember correctly, the hostel I stayed in was SameSun (Venice Beach) and Banana Bungalow (Hollywood). Great way to make new friend coming from different places of the world. Looking forward to go back to California again, but next time, I am hoping to visit SF!
I've been to NYC at least 5 times since 2013, and I love it every time I visit. It is really the city that never sleeps. There is so variety of activities to do at night: bar restaurants, music festival, dance parties... Just always do my own research without going anywhere to ensure safety, also to make sure I am going somewhere I can not enjoy my time there, but where I can also learn something new about the city.
Paris was a short trip for me, but I did get the chance to explore few places. I felt pretty safe around the city, and the people were very nice. French is my first language so it was not a problem getting around town at all, plus I have family there. Paris is always a good idea!
I loved travelling to Montréal, Quebec Canada. My winter (January 2019) adventure trip to Canada is one to remember. Though, the temperature was -20 F everyday throughout my vacation there, I enjoyed doing some winter outdoors activities suc as skying and ice-skating. I fell in love with Quebec and will go back again.
I had an awesome experience in Mexico City, Mexico. I traveled solo few days before my birthday, and I will never regret making this choice. Some of my relatives told me I was brave enough to travel by self to CDMC (Cuidad de Mexico) by myself because it’s a “dangerous” city, but I felt safe. People stopped me everywhere I went to take pictures with me and told “Tu estàs muy Bonita!” The love was overwhelming. I wish I could tell you more about that experience. I used Uber and taxi to get around town. It was pretty cheap. I will definitely recommend you to go and experience it for yourself. Much love!
In 2010, I was blessed to travel to (Jozi )Johannesburg, South Africa as a gift from my Dad for excellent academic performance. I spent 2 month there, and the experience was amazing. Be open minded to other people's cultures and it will make your travel to SA easier. I enjoyed going on adventure there. I did a one day tour few days after my arrival, and learned a lot. This tour company does things differently. They have a more personal and interactive approach to the way they do things. Really refreshing!!!The best guides I could ever ask. Will recommend anyone to climb with you.
When on our way from the airport straight to the hotel resort, our taxi drivers suggested some tour guides my friends and I stumbled upon Cancun Adventures. We had a few questions and were able to chat with him. They were so helpful when trying to find out if the tour group would pick us up from our hotel, cost, etc. So I booked our tour for Tulum, Coba and printed out the confirmation prior to our arrival in Cancun.
They picked us up from our hotel at the exact time listed on the confirmation and we were off. On the bus ride both Jesus and Manuel informed us of the Mayan culture, language, area, etc. The tour included visiting a cenote for some swimming, buffet style lunch, and tour of Tulum Ruins. It was a great adventure.
Dallas is very diverse and full of activity. I love how in the past several years the city has started to make attractions in less appealing neighborhoods. For example the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge that is now a big city attraction. The city is making an effort to better all areas of Dallas and it is something I really appreciate. Other than the big city feel and the long list of great food, Dallas offers plenty of indoor and outdoor activities to fulfill the needs of most of its citizens. Something I would like to see change is the focus of funds from inner-city living, to compensate for the poverty that surrounds the outskirts of the city.
