Cusco, Peru will blow your mind. It’s main attraction is the iconic world wonder-Machu Picchu. My friend and I flew into Lima, then flew to Cusco. We took the train from Cusco to Aguascalientes and I recommend booking your train ticket at least a couple weeks in advance and your entrance ticket to Machu Picchu Park because some regions of Picchu will sell out. While in Aguas Calientes (the town with shops, eateries, and hotels right beneath the mountain of Machu Picchu), we stayed in a basic hostel that we booked by just walking in the same day. If you’re not looking for luxury, there are several hostels all around the the town for as low as $15 dollars per night, just take your pick. When it comes to actually witnessing and taking in the sites at Machu Picchu, you have options. You can hike up the mountain or you can take a bus which takes you directly to the entrance. Once you enter, you’re surrounded by clouds, mountains, llamas, magical pathways and the most jaw dropping nature sights you’ve ever seen! This is a place you’d never regret spending your money on. Adventure calls and it calls from Cusco, Peru!

Belize is the only country that I have returned to more than once. I’m in love with the country because of the nature of the vibe. Livin’ is easy in Belize, the pace of life is not rushed or fast. Both times I’ve gone, I’ve stayed at the Costa Blu Adults Only Resort, which is a couple miles away from San Pedro. Rent a golf cart from in town and you can head to the city on your own time. We headed to Secret beach which is about 3-5 miles away from the resort and absolutely magical with a bar on the beach, jet skiing, and locals making coconut water right in front of you. In San Pedro, you can stop at any of the docks and choose to do snorkeling, diving, fishing, rent a bike, or just stroll the island and do some shopping. Food is everywhere and for a low price. If going to San Pedro Belize, don’t plan too much...just enjoy the island. I’ll always go back for more.

Cartagena is the perfect place for a beach lover. You have the option of going to the beach that’s right on the water or you can go to a more Virgin and secluded beach like Isla Baru. The water is aqua blue and the weather is warm, but can get extremely hot depending on when you go. Choose a hotel that is near the city center and you’ll be able to walk to main streets and areas that you see plastered all across the media. It is one of the most colorful cities I’ve ever experienced and the beauty of it all can be taken in from just taking a stroll.

Paris was the 17th country I’ve visited and probably the most affordable when it comes to accommodations. I traveled solo so it was super important for me to meet people. For the reason, I stayed in a hostel called “generator Paris” which is right in the middle of Paris and steps away from the metro. I purchased a metro pass and was able to get all around the city to see the major attractions for a very affordable price. If there’s one place, I’m sure I could survive financially for a summer-it would definitely be in Paris.

Florence is filled with museums, ancient art, preserved churches, and the streets/buildings are still very genuine and original to earlier times. If you love the cobblestone streets, famous sculptures, and European history-then you’ll love Florence and you’ll either never want to leave or vow to come back again soon. One of the most iconic aspects about Florence is the art of Michaelangelo. You can find his ancient and famous sculptures at various places but his most popular pieces can be found at: the Museo dell’ Opera Del Duomo, palazzo vecchio, bargello, or galleria dell’ accademia. The city definitely transports you back in time. I can’t wait to go back!
