    WhereToStay

The review is going to be tailored to my stay at The Atlantis Resort. Resort it self is BIG, well kept, but overrated. My mother had to stay here so we made it happen (Family Vacation). Now I prefer to stay at a location that is walkable and easy to access sights. But due to her choice, I didn't get to see much of the island. This resort has a decent sized water park. Which is the main attraction (included in your stay). You can purchase a day pass if you are staying off site. Also heavy traffic when the cruises dock into Nassau. Closes at 6pm. Food Very expensive! Expect to pay a 20% tax on all of your meals at the resort. We ate at Jimmy Buffets down the road a lot. You can take a boat from Atlantis into downtown Nassau. Its about 4 dollars each way. But limited hours. Taxi's are pricey. Usually cost you about 8 to 10 dollars a person. Especially at night. There is also a bridge toll you will have to pay when coming into Paradise Island. Resort is about 40 mins from the airport. Try to arrange transportation to and from ahead of time. I would love to go back and explore the island more. In my opinion, visit Atlantis for one day. Then enjoy the island.

Things to do: Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, See Notre-Dame Cathedral, Arc De Triomphe and walk down The Champs-Élysées, Sacre-Coeur, Disneyland Paris, Boat Cruise on the canal. I did about 4 of the things on this list. Visited Paris in February, and it was cold, so pack for that. Eiffel Tower- about 25 euros to visit the top of the Tower (Free to enter grounds after you go through security) The Louvre- about 15 euros to visit the museum Notre-Dame - Free photo op. (I did not go inside) Arc De Triomphe- Free Photo Op (you can pay to go up top) Champs-Élysées- Free (lots of shopping) Disneyland Paris - about 80 euros a person It was too cold to be on the water so I'll have to update when I go back in warmer months. Eiffel Tower is a must. Day and night. You can grab a sandwich and eat it in the park. The Tower sparkles for 5 mins at the top of every hour.. i visited the tower several times during my 4 day stay. Train easy to navigate. Last trains around midnight. Get a day pass with unlimited train and bus access within Paris.

I took a quick trip to Abu Dhabi July 2018. Spent 1 day there at the end of my Dubai vacation. Abu Dhabi is a place you can see in about a day, or 2, if you really wanted to. When I arrived off the bus (cheap hour+ ride from Dubai), I took a taxi to The Louvre which was about 15 mins away from the bus station. The Louvre allowed me to store my suitcases while I took a quick look. It is a very inexpensive museum (around 15 dollars per person). I Walked around The Louvre for about an hour before I called another taxi to pick me up. My next destination was The Grand Palace, and OMG she is a beautiful one. This is a free attraction. Men NO SHORTS. Women FULLY COVERED. They will provide the ladies with an Abaya if you dont come dressed properly (check IG for examples, especially if you want to come with your own style). This was the most beautiful building in Abu Dhabi, possibly the entire UAE. I know you can also go to Ferrari World and ride the worlds fastest roller coaster as well. But I didnt have time for it. Quickly, I also noticed Abu Dhabi had more gender separation than Dubai. For example my hotel had separate swimming areas for men and women. Also Pink taxis for ladies only. All in all worth the quick visit.

Visited Cancun at the end of August. and it was hot and beautiful. If you stay in the Hotel Zone, you can get on the city bus for 1 dollar. I believe it runs 24 hours. So you can ride it up to the bars and nightclubs. Very easily accessible. Once you get up there you have access to a handful of places. Dancing and drinking a lot of fun. Most people to go CocoBongo. While you are in Cancun make sure to visit Chichen Itza, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988.

I visited the Puerto Plata in The DR over Memorial Day weekend (Mothers Day in the DR). I found a nice man to pick us up via TripAdvisor and he was at the airport when I arrived and took us right to our resort. He had Rum and Coke waiting for us when we got in his van and told us all about Puerto Plata on the way. He also did tours of the city at the lower price than some of the solicited tour groups and received rave reviews. So he picked us up the next day and we went of a city tour. Our Resort: Sunscape-- It was a beautiful place. The food was good. A good amount of entertainment. and the beach was right behind it. They kept the resort area blocked off to the city to keep locals out. Beaches: The beach was nice however, there had many licensed solicitors roaming around as you were trying to relax. They were quite aggressive and didn't mind walking up to you as you were sleep or resting. Probably the biggest negative about the resort/ city. All in all, Puerto Plata has been my favorite Caribbean destination so far. Its beautiful green forest and beautiful people really made the country enjoyable.

I had the fortunate opportunity to visit this beautiful country before Hurricane Irma destroyed it. Arrived and took a taxi to the resort in Simpson Bay. Which was not too far from the airport. Getting around: to save money, I would recommend using the local taxi. Its a van that cost 1 to 2 dollars. It takes you around the city. We took it from Maho Beach area to Simpson Bay. You can also have your resort call a Taxi. They charge per person after hours. About 8 dollars a person each way. So for large groups' this can add up. Nightlife: we went to a club called Tantra. They played all of the current hip hop hits. Mixed in some other dance music. But was a really nice mix. I believe the ladies were free. There are other bars in this area as well. Seemed like the hub for bars and clubs. Very close to Maho Beach. Maho Beach: You must go. I'm not sure the current condition of the actual beach since the hurricane. But you can watch the planes land and the people hanging on the fences (not recommended) but its great for people watching. There is (or was) a bar next to the beach were you and eat, drink, sit and watch the people getting jetblasted by planes on the beach. Also a great place for fun Instagram photos. Lots of seafood and Caribbean options for food as well. Enjoy tropical island drinks while you enjoy the beach.
