    Relaxation
    Edit

Took a ferry from Tanzania (DAR) to the beautiful island of Zanzibar. From there we bargained with taxi drivers to bring us to Jambiani (about an hour away from Stonetown), a remote area along the beach. Zanzibar is absolutely beautiful and perfect for relaxation. I mean waking up to the sounds of waves is perfection for m and just what we needed after our long journey. We stayed at Pili Pili House, which is a small boutique hotel with limited rooms. While we were there they were completing their sister property (right next door) which has a pool and great for a small family. This property was perfect as you could walk right out onto the beach. As much as we didn't get the chance to lounge out on the beach due to high and low tides it was nice to take in the view and listen to music. I felt like whatever my preference for the day was (sleep in or early mornings), I could stick with it and not miss a beat. Things to note: Have your Yellow Fever Shot and Immunization card handy Seasons of high and low tide. Low tide you can literally walk about a km or more out onto the water. High tide forget swimming as it's not possible. Cover-up when roaming around the community.

I've been to Rio twice and every time I fall in love with it more. This 5 year Visa (for Canadians) is definitely gonna get used up. Things to do: Free walking tour with Rio By Foot (very informative) Copacabana and Ipanema beach bumin (same strip, different sections and vibes) Visit Christ the Redeemer Sugarloaf Mountain Visit the Escadaria Selaron in Lapa (during the day) Party in Lapa (it's Caiprihana time) Hike Pedra do Telegrafo (about an hour and half drive away from Rio and 45 minute - 1 hour hike but totally worth it) See a football match Visit a Favela Island Hopping from Rio (12-hour tour) Roam the streets and check out food spots

Jamaica Jamaica! I love going back home especially to St. Ann. there's so much to do. Top things to do: Climb Dunn's river falls (eat at Too Cool's Restaurant) Blue Hole Catamaran ride with snorkel Rafting on White River Fire Water in St. Anns Bay Day drinking at Margaritaville (when a cruise ship is present) Any Chukka Cove activities Other activities: Dolphin Cove Mystic Mountain (bobsled ride, zip line) Nine Mile tour Green Grotto Caves All can be closely accessed when in St. Ann (Ocho Rios), hence why it's my favourite parish to visit. There's always something to discover there.

    WhereToStay
    Edit

Two of my girlfriends and I visited Marrakesh back in April to May and we had an amazing time. We stayed at Riad dar Yema which was a beautiful and about a 10-minute walk or less to Jemaa el-fnaa. Breakfast was included which was prepared to your liking and at the requested time in case you had to be out extremely early. Arrange transportation from the airport. We didn't and trust me it was a regret. We got approached by undercover police telling us not to ask these men for directions, ruining pieces of our luggage from rolling them on the uneven roads to, realizing how much walking it was, which could have all been avoided if we paid for the transport. Because its a maze sometimes finding locations can be a bit tricky and frustrating. For the most part, we used maps.me which helped a lot but eh getting lost is apart of the charm I guess. Another place to stay is really to visit the Sahara Desert (Erg Chigaga Desert Camp) with Top Desert. By far one of the best experiences I've had surrounded by dunes, watching stars and waking up to watch the sunrise. Still, to this day I cannot explain the feeling. Not to mention you get a private driver throughout the whole experience. Few tips to note: it's a cash city, make sure you bargain with everything and bring small change as they'll tell you they don't have any to give back (especially when taking taxis).
