A Little About Me:

I'm a nature lover with an adventurous soul. Love to learn about different cultures and life styles. The first time I travel outside my beautiful Costa Rica I was 18 years old, and that first experience open my eyes and made me realize how big the world is and how big of a dreamer I was. Enjoy meeting people, cooking, dancing, exploring and have fun in general.

Go to the Hard Rock Cafe hotel clubs, there's two, I had fun at Bits (floor 62) had the most amazing view of Panama City. Go to Casco Antiguo (Old Panama), the colonial part of the city, rooftop bars are the trend, so many of them, the most famous is Tantalo (dance club). I also liked Casa Casco, there's a different ambiance at each floor(good dining). Gatto Blanco is also for drinks and dancing.

I drove around several European countries, it was a lot of fun. That's how I got to Sweden, drove from Denmark, almost 7 hours. Stockholm is a beautiful city, during summertime kayaking and canoeing are very popular activities. Hiking Tresticklan National Park is beautiful.

I know it's going to sound very cliche but if you're visiting Paris for the first time like I did a couple of years ago, visiting the classic places we read about online are worthy. I'm always about doing different things and avoiding crowds but there are some places that are just iconic and a must-see. If you go back to Paris, then I will suggest going to different places. Going to Paris and not visiting the Eiffel tower... that just can't happen. I went at the end of the day, so I was able to see enjoy daytime and nighttime. Book your tickets in advance to avoid waiting in line, be smart about your time there. Take a tour to the Louvre museum, this way you skip the line and get all the history. Walk along Champs Elysees, from Place de la Concorde to the Arc de Triomphe. I was lucky to see the Notre Dame Cathedral before the fire, it was one of my favorites, I didn't know Jesus crown of thorns was there till days later my visit. I could just walk around the city and enjoy the architecture, buying a six-pack of wine was fun, it was difficult to communicate because a lot of Parisians claim not to speak english, only french, that made me wish I knew at ñeast a little bit.

while traveling around Europe, I definitely recommend staying at hostels (good ones), small boutique hotels or Airbnb. Hamburg is a cosmopolitan city with a lot of attractions, I like to walk so staying near train stations is the easier way to go because you have transportation nearby and restaurants, coffee places, pubs. I stayed at an A &O hostel in Hamburg City.

I loved Copenhagen, highly recommend a Kings and Castles tour, a great way of enjoying the architecture and learning the history. I also visited a Viking Museum, it was amazing to see their ships, it was like going back in time. Visiting Frederiksborg Castle, or just walking or taking a boat ride by the waterfront of the city, the little mermaid sculpture is a must-see. Buy tickets online to spend a day at TIVOLI, its an amusement park and beautiful gardens.

Going to the beach while in Miami is a must, I like Miami Beach (touristic) and walk or exercise along the coastline is beautiful, Ocean Drive street is nearby and that's always a fun area for drinks and dining. During the day I recommend a free walking tour, make sure Little Havana is visited. If you like the beach as me, a day tour to Key West is fun and a great way of meeting people, drinks and great fresh seafood.

The number one activity is visiting Guatape Rock, a natural beauty formed million years ago. Locals told me it was underwater and that many other rock formations still are. The hike is worthy, definitely a work out, it's a hike of 700 steps uphill, as you get to the top the view gets better and better. The town of Guatape is near Villa Zocalo a colorful town with colonia style arquitecture. As many tourist I did it as a day trip bit once there I wanted to stay. There's a lake where you can take boat rides, they take you to different places and the view of the rock is amazing from there also, they can take the boat closer to the rock for pictures. They serve drinks and fun Colombian music to enjoy while exploring the lake

I gifted myself for my birthday a 4 day trip to Medellin, Colombia and it was the best present ever!. So much to do, but after my prior research I decided to do the following tours: A visit to Comuna 13, a day trip to Guatape to hike the 705 steps rock, a walking city tour through Medellin main Parks and Museums. My favorite of all was Comuna 13, I originally booked online, was supposed to meet a guide from one of the big companies. Getting to the meeting point is a lot of fun since you have to use the public subway just like any other Colombian. Once you get to the station, all the local guides are there and that's when my original plan took a different turn. The person I was suppose to meet wasn't there yet, there was this guy, he looked he belong there, he was singing, I saw him talking to everyone around and he came over to ask if I needed a guide. I told previously arranged the tour with somebody else, he asked me; did you pay? I said not yet; so he explained how this big international companies contract guides that are not originally from Comuna 13 and that's taking opportunities away from them. I was hesitating but this guy made me change my mind and you know what? It was the best decision ever. Julian (his name) took me to every single corner, the tour originally was supposed to be up to 3 hrs; we ended up spending all day. Comuna 13 was a bad neighborhood in the past, marked with violence, drugs, poverty. The Colombian government intervene the Neighborhood with several military operations where Orion's one was one of the most important. Paramilitaries and Farc's members were the object. After this painful and bloody event the Comuna 13 people started the biggest change of their lives, a place that no one ever wanted to visit became one of the most colorful, entertain, beautiful and most visited places of Medellin till today. Local artist started painting graffiti's around the entire neighborhood and their graffiti tour is a MUST DO. There are local art galleries, a coffee museum, dancers, free style rappers, is one of the only neighborhoods in the world with electric stairs, to make the visit easier since it's located uphill. I could not get enough of this place, it was raw, authentic, and I loved the fact they went from zero to heroe. Very few local guides speak English, reason why maybe a lot of people book with the big companies I talk about before. But Julian, my guide, the best guide ever told me they are going to school to learn English. I hope they do because that will increase their job opportunities.

Nicaragua is definitely a hidden Paradise. The main tourist attraction are the towns of Granada, San Juan del Sur and León. Granada and Leon are beautiful colonial cities, the architecture, history, museums, restaurants, and night life are amazing. Research about William Walker before going, it will all make more sense if you heard about him before. I still don't understand how people from U.S don't know much about him. San Juan del Sur Is a beach and surfing spot also known for the night life, lots of bars and places to go out dancing. I recommend to visit Ometepe Island, staying in Rivas for one night if doing so, or there's small simple places at the island to stay. You need to take a ferry at Rivas to visit Ometepe. The Caribbean Side of Nicaragua is worthy seeing, amazing beaches, not very touristic so still authentic, Corn Island is the spot to visit, it's a long way sontaking a domestic flight from Managua is the best option. Little Corn Island has better hotels. Great for snorkeling and enjoy the beach. The Caribbean Side of Nicaragua is mainly Afro descendent, English is spoken over there. I don't recommend to stay long at Managua, but if there's no option or need to overnight, go to Salvador Allende Port to see the sunset, dinner and drinks. It's going to take time to travel safely in Nicaragua again, but whenever that green light is given don't think it twice. Nicaragua is known as the land of Volcanoes and lakes. If you like rum Flor de Caña is the best, export quality. The factory has a tour that I've heard great comments about.

Costa Rica is "Pura Vida" learn that before getting there, it means life is good. There are lots of activities, and it all depends where in the country you'll be visiting. My favorite beaches are: 1)Punta Uva, Limón 2) Playa Blanca at Punta Leona Resort 3) Playa Buena, Guanacaste 4) Manuel Antonio National Park Beaches. Favorite Volcanoes: Arenal, Irazú and Rincon de la Vieja. Ziplining, Sky Trek at Fortuna area or Monteverde Extreme. There's an amazing pineapple tour with Organic Paradise tour at Sarapiquí and Fortuna area, lots of fun. You gotta go to some hot springs if visiting a volcano. Hike in the Rainforest to see wildlife. If you enjoy nature, and want to visit a small quiet and remote area compare with the Amazon's beauty, go to Tortuguero National Park. If you enjoy coffee, Britt or Doka coffee tours are amazing.

Take a free walk tour, it runs daily and it's a great way of learning the history of the city, visit important sites that are hard to find on own and even enjoy a free Pisco Sour at the end of the tour. Go to the Water Park, enjoy the show at night.

Visit La Casa de la música, located in Old Havana and Miramar area. There's live music with a different Cuban band everyday. Have dinner at El Guajirito, besides mojitos and food there's a show included, totally worthy. If you want to learn about Afro Cuban Religion (Santeria) and Art go to Callejón de Hammel, every Sunday there are drummers and Afro Cubans dancing local music, it can be crowded on Sundays tho and it's a small area. Walking at El Malecón it's a plus and great way to meet locals. Lots of Cubans sit there at night with their music and rum. If you like the beach, besides Varadero, there's Playas del Este. Only 20 minutes drive in a bus that runs daily for tourist back and forth.
