A Little About Me:

My travels took me to several wonderful places. After visiting different countries a few times a year, I finally decided that a travel blog would be a good way to share my adventures.  This ignited the birth of “sanchaTravels” where I can inspire persons to explore the world.

    Traveling While Black
    Edit

I went on a group trip to Barcelona, Spain. Although only there for a few days we were able to explore the city quiet a bit and enjoyed our time. This trip was an all girls adventure and we were pretty good about traveling in packs for safety. During our time there, there were several protects happening throughout the city and even though we were told it would be very dangerous on the streets, we had time earlier in the day to venture out and see parts of the city that were not polluted with protesters. I didn't find that there were any issues as a black female in a group of other black females in the city. Our time in and around town was very fun as we encountered very friendly people and others willing to help us navigate around town. The safety however became an issue and we were for warned about being extremely careful with our purses and such. While in the train station we witnessed a young man steal another young man's wallet as he got off the train. Several on lookers tried to stop the young man from running off an eventually held him until the police arrived. Another time we saw another tourist walk off the train only to find his fanny pack completely empty - he was also robbed. Outside of those incidences Barcelona is beautiful, lively and well worth a visit. You'll just have to be super careful of your belongings. ~ Happy Travels! @sanchatravels

After a long day at Petra we stoped at Bait Ali Camp for the night located in Wadi Rum. This was more like a glampsite as the rooms were comfortably built and designated to each pair of tourists. The following morning we explored Wadi Rum the most beautiful dessert I have ever seen. The sand was a beautiful Red and like Petra, some amazing rock formations. It’s a world away from the world filled with mystery and fascination. I totally recommend it on a visit to Jordan ??

Jamaica has tons to offer for the fun loving vacationer. Let's talk about the Jamaica party scene tho. Hands down Jamaica has the best parties I've ever been to. Holiday seasons are the best times to visit Jamaica to attend parties. Summer has a series of parties called - Dream Weekend in Negril. Igloo is another popular party which is typically help on the beach in Ocho Rios - you bring your igloo of drinks and party the day away while being your own.best bartender. My favorite set of parties are French Men and elite set of parties that happens throughout the year. Premium bars, premium food and premium entertainment. Again I endorse JAMAICA as the best party location in the world!!

Egypt itself is AMAZING!!! The history is undeniable however. There are several things to do in Cairo as a visitor but my #1 thing is to visit the Pyramids. The fact that the architecture and knowledge of the past has been preserved so well in impressive but to know that we are witness to what our ancestors were such an intricate part of, makes you feel overwhelmed with a great sense of pride. being among the pyramids, in Giza, the pharaoh in Memphis and step pyramids in Saqqara is quite a lot of history and knowledge of a time that has never been repeated and still baffle even the most brilliant of minds. I for one have a HUGE love for Egypt and will be visiting for the third time in 2020 :)

    Things To Do
    Edit

I had an amazing time in Bali recently. It's a very affordable place to stay. There are several things to do in Bali however they can be pretty far in distance from each other. The best way I found to get around is to hire a taxi driver for a day who will take you to wherever you'd like to go for up to 10 hours for as little as $45 usd. There are several things to enjoy from Elephant parks, butterfly farms, ATV's , beautiful beached, several temples and ever so popular rice terraces.
