We visited Kona on the Big Island in January 2021. We stayed at the Royal Sea Cliff resort. We rented a car to get around the island. Hawaii is absolutely beautiful! Spots to go;
• Punaluʻu Beach – black sand beach with sea turtles
• Sunset helicopter cruise up the coast
• Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park
• Hapuna Beach
• Jackie Rey’s Ohana Grill – amazing seafood
• Island Lava Java – great breakfast spot
• Fish Hopper Seafood and Steak – our dinner arrived in a small boat
• We also took in a luau, they vary when they are offered
There is something for everyone, but it is pricey. We didn’t have a meal for two for less than $75. We even went grocery shopping and that was pricey. It’s just expensive on the island. I’ll definitely return.
