Traveling around Dubuque, Iowa is nice. They have multiple transportation options including a cable car that I didn’t get to ride but I saw the station downtown. The University of Dubuque is a nice campus. Be careful when driving around because there are many bends and forks in the road. I’ve stayed at the Best Western Plus snd the staff was friendly. As for local foods, I am not a fan of cheese soup nor pork so the locals enjoy tenderloin sandwiches and Wisconsin cheese soup. Dubuque has the chains: Sonic, Chipotle, and Olive Garden just to name a few. Dubuque is on the Mississippi River. I’ve driven across into Wisconsin at the border and back with no problems.
