Graham, Texas

During the 2022 football season, Wichita Falls Hirschi(predominantly black) played at Graham, Texas(predominantly white). Prior to the game there was a history of Graham decorating locker rooms for black teams with paper trees, monkeys and bananas all over the locker room as decor. Also, there were numerous racial comments made by Graham parents which made Dave Campbells shut down their entire discussion board across the state. The game arrived and during the game again players were subjected to more racial comments during play. Finally, after a dirty tackle by a Graham player, the Hirschi players had enough. They began to defend their teammate and an all out bench clearing brawl ensued. The fallout from this game included only Hirschi being disciplined by the district chair. Not because of the fight but because a minority kid from Graham, transferred to Hirschi prior to the season so they found a type of loophole to only hold the minority team accountable.
