Brunswick County, VA has a speed trap on I-85 that results in arrests of black people for absurd reasons, and the county courts disproportionately discriminate against black defendents. So, when driving between Petersburg, VA until you reach the North Carolina state line, it’s best not to speed, even one mile over the limit, just to be safe.
