Make no mistake… Donald Trump does live he and his minions often cause a ruckus. That being said, I currently live in Palm Beach County and can testify that there are many more rational people here than there are of his supporters. We have a rich and diverse culture here. Many black owned businesses. Big John’s eatery has some amazing shrimp and grits. Flavors Island has the best Djon Djon I’ve ever had! Majestic lounge, if you want a nice place to socialize and have some drinks. There’s so many great places down here, please don’t let a few bad characters ruin a good time. Come and visit!

Traveling While Black
West Palm Beach specifically is in the middle of two diverse hubs, Boynton Beach and Riviera Beach. If you’re looking for the diversity, I would head to these cities! If you’re Caribbean, a great spot to get some Jamaican Pattie’s is Island Style Bakery. Prices are right. Assortment is good unless you go after 2pm, and the items are fresh! It’s right off 45th street. If you want to stay in West Palm Beach, you can find a lot of diversity in downtown West Palm around Rosemary Square and Clematis St (bars and nightlife are around here too!). However, I wouldn’t say that Palm Beach island is diverse other than the beach!
Overall, a relaxing city, but if you’re looking for lots of things to do and fun, I’d head outside of West Palm to the other areas of Palm Beach.

Palm Beach is a great place to visit. Went for Easter on a family trip and enjoyed it. Queen of Sheeba- a great Ethiopian food spot! So nice and accommodating. They are very busy so I would advise a reservation but they might be able to still squeeze you in. Buccan- for a fancy upscale dinner. Oxtail empanadas are a must. And the salty donuts for dessert! I would go to the colony hotel for pics/breakfast. Definitely a good travel place for chill food and relaxation vibes.
