So I visited Perth for a Spartan Race to complete my the tri-fecta. The beaches and are very clean and the waves are good for body surfing. I visited Cottesloe Beach and another I cannot remember. The city is a bit slow. Most places do not stay open late. So find somewhere to eat early. Elizabeth Quay is a cool spot to walk around in the evening. Halford Bar was a nice for some cocktails. There are some good hiking trails inland. I ventured through Mundy Regional Park. A kangaroo hopped across the street in front of our car on the way to the Spartan Race. That was pretty cool.

Traveling while Black: I did not encounter any problems. However, there were a bit more stares than I would normally like to see. Overall, Perth is a chill city with some cool things to see just by walking around and the beaches are very nice.

    Traveling While Black

I enjoyed visiting Perth, but I will say being black here isn’t the greatest. People will ask a lot of questions about being black in America and say racist things. Some of it isn’t coming from a place of hate but more of a lack of knowledge since the black population is very small and mostly immigrants. The aboriginal people are still mostly hated on and stay to themselves.
