This is review 1 of 7 in a group of writings I call, “Outside the Sunshine State, a
Californian’s perspective of the US” . These cities I have all visited and some I
even spent a few years in. The reviews are from my perspective as an outsider
coming into a new place. As with all of my reviews I hope they help someone on
their travels, now, without further delay, let’s get started. Columbia Sc, although I
was not born here I would say I know this place quite well as I was there for a few
years. Columbia is a good ethnic mix of folks. You might deal with a side eye
here and there but nothing more than that in my experience. Columbia is also home to two HBCU’s so for those who might be looking for Black colleges to visit,
Columbia SC might be the place for you!
