Rochelle has more things to do, it’s a bigger town meant for anyone passing through. There’s stores like Walmart and Aldi, a Starbucks, McDonald’s, Culver’s, etc.
While it’s more “diverse”, with a slowly growing Hispanic population. I wouldn’t recommend being out late passing through Rochelle unless you’re driving slow. I got stopped there by a 🚔 doing a “routine” stop at 8pm, on my way home from visiting family in the Chicago burbs. I’ve been warned about not passing through too late at night and not to speed on through, not even 2 miles over the limit because they will stop you.
If you need a quick pitstop, do so but go quickly, they definitely stare. 😮💨
