Have the chance to go there twice and I found this place beautiful each time. I was in Grand Turk and this island is a magnificent paradise, Turks are famous for the seaside part, the sea is just a mix of wonderful blue, turquoise. The water of the sea is warm, the beaches are so splendid. The second time we had a lovely rental house front of the sea and it was not really expensive. I did an excursion on a boat, we snorkeling, went on an little island with iguana on it, it was a great experience. If I can, I’ll go there a third time.
I felt in love with this beautiful city of Salvador de Bahia. For me, It’s more seaside than Rio or Salvador and more cultural. The old city named Pelourinho is very picturesque and marvelous with all the colored old architecture, there is musicians everywhere who give you the envy to dance with them. You have to see the Forte Santa Maria where you have a great view of the sea. For the souvenirs you have the Mercado modelo near to the port with a lot of little shops of gifts or souvenirs. I have the chance to spend a night in“Morro do São Paulo” which is on the Island do Tinharé, 2h from Salvador by boat, the beaches are so beautiful, and the great thing is there is no car. You can find good restaurants or pub at night. And finally, taste the local ice cream, Brazilian send this in the street, it’s so Yummy!!!
I was in Rio with friends, it was a great experience. It was like a dream come true when I saw the Cristo Redentor on the Corcovado, it’s just Amazing. If you like sunset you have to go to Ipanema beach, and Pão de Azucar, both are great for beautiful Sunset. You can see magnificent street art like the Mural of Eduardo Kobra « Etnias » it’s so wonderful. Don’t miss the Escadaria Selaron, very famous in Rio, a lot of people make a line to take pictures there. To get souvenirs cheaper, you can go to the Saara shopping district. And you have to go to the big beach of Copacabana, a little bit cold at first but after 5 minutes in, you wouldn’t get out. Brazilian are kind, Rio is a great city to visit.
