A Little About Me:

I follow the motto work hard, play hard. Travel is very important to me and would one day like for this to become a regular thing that I am able to enjoy while continuing to learn.

Santorini was a very interesting trip for me. Definitely an island on my list to visit for some time. Views were absolutely breath-taking. Could sit there and enjoy the sunset for hours. The island overall was difficult to access from a ferry. A lot of uphill driving and lots of tourists. Food was just ok, and overpriced. Would probably opt for a different Greek island if I return to Greece. Hotels are also overpriced and not too impressive. Would recommend staying at a nicer hotel, and save up before you go. Local spots with souvlaki and traditional Greek foods were more enjoyable than the “fancier” restaurants. Even souvenirs are expensive. Overall Santorini was beautiful, but would recommend other islands such as Paros, Naxos, or an island less touristy.

Amsterdam is one of the coolest cities I’ve visited thus far. Access around the city downtown is pretty easy for walking and bikes. I wasn’t thoroughly impressed by Dutch cuisine, however, a lot of cafes/restaurants have pretty good breakfast menus, and good appetizers/starters. I did a bike tour which is an awesome way to see the city in such a short period of time. I recommend Mike’s Bike Tours! I skipped the museums and opted for bike tours and canal tours which I very much enjoyed. Also enjoyed seeing so much diversity throughout the city. If I visit again I will likely venture outside of Amsterdam.

Mykonos has been an island I’ve wanted to visit since I was 13. Used to collect hotel brochures and one of my favorites happened to be in Mykonos. In September it was pretty windy and night, but during the day was amazing. If you get the chance, visit Scorpios beach club. Outdoor cabanas, meets beach life, meets good music. If I could change anything, I’d visit Mykonos during the summer to enjoy the warmth of the island. The island in general is pretty pricey, especially at beach clubs.

The city of lights never seems to disappoint. Having visited Paris twice, I fall in love every time. My first visit In November 2017 I did the touristy sites such as the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, etc. During my 2nd visit I was able to wander the city without being on a time restriction. Stop at cafes for snacks/tea, Enjoy the bar at Lauderee on Champs Elysees, and a little shopping. I love wandering down the narrow streets near the Notre Dame Cathedral. The Drawing hotel is in great walking distance to the Louvre and shops. Not a huge fan of the food, as French cuisine has different prep methods. However, desserts of course are delightful. I would visit again in a heartbeat.

Spain Barcelona is such a lively city with so much to do. From good eats, to cool interactive tours, and shopping. I visited Barcelona with friends. We stayed at an AirBnb that was the perfect location and had great interiors. We did just about everything from bike tours, to boat excursion, tapas, and shopping. I enjoyed the city, however, the architecture felt somewhat dark which aligns with the gothic designs. Barcelona is such a large city, that there is tons to do no matter where you stay in the city. With so many options this can be overwhelming. I would recommend doing a little research if you are visiting on a limited amount of time. Not necessarily one of my favorites cities in Europe, but perhaps would give another try.

Portugal was and still is a bucket list destination for me. Lisbon has some of the most unique stone streets and tiled walls and floors throughout the city. The staggered hill like buildings make Lisbon one of the coolest architecturally. I would recommend visiting the area of Alfama within Lisbon. Alfama is made up of narrow stone streets, surprising views of the water, and awesome port wine tasting. Has the feel of an old quaint Italian town, with vibrant colors. The museums aren’t all that they are cracked up to be. I find venturing the streets allows you to run into some of the coolest areas. By far one of my favorite cities in the world is Sintra just outside of Lisbon. Amazing views, castles, and well maintained infrastructure of a historical area. If you are looking for some of the best panoramic views, venture to the west coast, Cabo di Roca. This is the westernmost point of continental Europe and jaw dropping views of the Atlantic. I would definitely visit Portugal again. Awesome food, stunning views, and great people. Majority of the people in Lisbon also speak English which is helpful.

Without a doubt my visit to Oranjestad, Aruba was one of my trips with the most adventure packed in. De Palm Tours is one of the more reputable tour guide/agency on the island and they did an incredible job on the exursion. The excursion we went on was an off-road excursion in a Land Rover. Extremely bumpy, but awesome! We explored natural bridges, beautiful beaches, caves, ostrich and donkey farms....lol, and also included some snorkeling. This particular excursion was by far one of my favorites, and not too expensive. I would recommend to anyone willing to step outside of their comfort zone. Again very bumpy! However, I would do this excursion again!

The intent of my trip to Trinidad was for none the other than Carnival. Carnival was of course amazing, but there was so much to do beyond carnival. The national parks to hike, waterfalls, Maracas and many other beaches, and excursions, are a few of these. I did a girls trip to Trinidad and was a blast. In addition we took a ferry to Tobago which was by far my favorite. So much adventure and beautiful views.

Just visited Rome for the Thanksgiving Holiday week, and spent 4 days in the amazing city. It was quite easy to get around on foot and without a doubt there is definitely things to do in this city. If you are interested in checking out the historic sites, some of the best include the Colessuem, Palatine Hill, Trevi fountain, Pantheon, Vatican City, and so much more. The ruins are by far the most impressive to see as it amazed me how far the back these date to. I would also recommend doing a day trip to another city. I did one to the island of Capri and this was by far my favorite trip! Food is the absolute best! Perfecto!!! I spent half of the trip bumping into places that caught my eye, and turned out to be really amazing, and the other half being so hungry from all the walking I would just walk into the nearest restaurant. I was not disappointed in either instances. Ciao!

Following my very first trip to Cartagena, Colombia, I must say this was one of my favorite trips. The history that has formed the city is quite interesting, especially with the portion of the city that resides within a wall. For things to do, I would recommmed spending at least 2-3 full days exploring different areas of the walled city. It is filled with awesome shops, restaurants and museums. There are tons to do outside the city walls as well like the San Andres islands, not the clearest ever but pretty cool to see. Also, there are several military forts that are very cool to learn about. Not many folks speak English, try brushing up on some of the basics and numbers to get you around the city.
