A Little About Me:

Hi everyone !

My name is Paola. I’m half Jamaican and half Italian and I have a true love for travelling ! My goal is to reach 30 countries before 30 years of age! So far I have visited 27 countries so not long to go!

My favourite thing about travelling is the beaches and pools. I love a sandy beach and an infinity pool ?. I also love eating food from around the world and learning about new cultures and ways of life!

I work 9-5 and use all of my annual leave to travel ! My goal is to work part time so I can travel more ??

Follow me on Instagram Paola.travels to come with me on my journey !

Dubai is a glamorous and beautiful city! I went there for 4 nights with my girlfriends and has a blast! I stayed at an Airbnb which is right by the marina and had amazing views !!! It was very cheap compared to hotels. The link of the Airbnb I got was: AirBnB Link Beach clubs are a MUST! Make sure you go on ladies day as it’s either free or discounted! The beach club I would recommend are Barasti beach club food was 50% off for ladies and unlimited frozen rosè ? not to mention shisha on the beach and a cool swing in the sea to get that perfect Instagram photo ! Visit the Dubai Mall! It is HUGE and will take you at least half a day to walk around. There’s an ice rink inside the mall, cinema, hundreds of shops and restaurant sand make sure you see the light show in the evening. It runs every 30 minutes from 6pm. Desert safari was one of the best experiences of my life. The views are amazing and there’s loads to do such as camel riding, dune bashing, quad biking, watching belly dance shows and eating amazing local food. (Also get that perfect Instagram photo in the desert lol!!) Wear something flowy and light coloured as it is very hot in the desert. Why not visit the night gold markets and purchase a lovely necklace ? Or just eat local food ! Night markets are really cool and you can exercise your negotiation skills !! Night life was interesting... most clubs have ladies nights but free drinks are only until a certain time (like 11pm) so get there early! and if you are a woman you need to dress up in your best outfit and your highest heels because it’s all about looks here unfortunately ! I Didn’t think it was fair but if you don’t look like their ‘type’ you won’t get into the fancy clubs. But don’t worry you can always go to piccolo mondo which is a nice / bar open 24/7 !! Enjoy!

Jamaica is a wonderful place! As soon as you get off the plane you are just ready to dance and have some good food! I stayed in Montego Bay at the Riu reggae hotel which was amazing! Jamaicans are really friendly and always have a smile on their faces - you will definitely feel at home. All my trips and excursions were booked through the hotel. I paid for most things in Jamaican dollars not US dollars as I found it was cheaper when paying in Jamaican dollars (I am from the UK- it may be different if you are from another country). The activities that I did included: - pelican bar: it is literally a bar in the middle of the ocean ! How cool is that !!!!!!! You get there via speed boat and it’s a picture perfect bar made out of bamboo. You can have drinks, food and have a swim in the crystal blue warm sea. - Dunn river falls: like climbing ? Like waterfalls? This will be the perfect excursion for you! Make sure you buy water shoes beforehand as the rocks may be slippery. You get a personal guide who will help you climb up the waterfall it takes approximately 30 minutes to climb to the top but once you get there it’s an amazing feeling! - Negril 7 mile beach: yes this beach has 7 miles of white sand! It is picturesque and amazing. I ate at a local restaurant on the beach who served us rum punch and jerk chicken and lobster ? I definitely recommend drinking fresh coconut water from a real coconut !!!! - Ricks cafe - if you like diving and cliff jumping this is the perfect place for you! I never jumped myself because I’m a chicken but I watched other people and it was so much fun! The bar has two floors and is situated on a cliff top. You can drink your red stripe and watch the sunset whilst listening to reggae. - nightlife is buzzing !! I would recommend going to margaritaville it is full of Jamaican locals and also tourists everyone mixes together and has a nice time ?? Drinks are cheap and music is banging ! Enjoy !

I’ve been to Amsterdam FIVE times and I would definitely go back again! Firstly, I love the buzzing multicultural atmosphere everyone is friendly and all races and backgrounds are accepted. It’s a city that never sleeps and there’s always things to do both in the day and at night. Like riding bikes? You might be in heaven because Amsterdam is nutritious for bike riding- it’s a way of life there! Bicycles get more respect than cars lol... Be careful not to get in the way of a cyclist! Like museums and galleries? Perfect! Head over to the various museums such as van gogh, Heineken, Ann frank house and definitely the Rijksmuseum! You will learn a lot about history and Amsterdam. I would recommend a boat ride through the canals. The scenery is lovely and they also have boats that include music and alcohol if you want more of a party vibe ! Like brunch? Then why not go to the Gs brunch boat party (tickets can be bought online) If you like your ‘coffee’ then the bull dog is a MUST. Other cool coffee shops are grasshopper, happy feelings, grey area, barneys, Prix d’ami coffee shop has a cinema inside too! Enjoy!

There are loads of things to do in Mexico! If you are a thrill seeker it’s worth going to the Xcaret adventure parks where you can do a wide range of activities from snorkelling, parasailing, diving and zip wire! If you want to see the unspoilt areas and spend time on the perfect beach then I would definitely recommend a day trip to Holbox island, it’s an unspoilt island where you can get around only by a cart, motorbike or bicycle (no cars allowed!) the sand is white and the sea is crystal clear - it’s the ultimate paradise! And of course you must see one of the seven wonders of the world! The chichen itza! It’s a long coach drive but definitely worth it! You get to learn a lot about the culture and eat lunch with local Mexicans. And of course you get the perfect instagram photo of you in front of chichen itza! All of my tours were booked through my hotel (Gran sirenis)
