So I ended up in South Island New Zealand due to a promise and boy did I luck into one of the most spectacular places I have ever been. I landed at night and was simply amazed by the starry night but is place clearly didn’t know what awaited me at sunrise. This place had some of the most spectacular views I have ever seen in my life.
I stayed at a Bicyclette Bed & Breakfast and it was the perfect little cottage set in a pasture, about $115 a night. If you were looking for a quiet getaway this is it for sure. The hosts were amazing and the breakfast package was yummy. I woke up one morning to see the sunrise, because that place just called for it, another clutch decision. From the cottage a quick walk out to another pasture and you see the views down into the valley and cross the water.
Also, available the owners of the cottage have another business called Ebike Akaroa where they take you on bike rides around the area. An absolute must do if you’re in for a little adventure and exercise.
You will need a car there to get around, but there are also wineries and farms you can visit during your stay.
Such a gem of a location, I don’t know how it isn’t plagued with tourist.
