I highly recommend hotel Tepeu .https://www.tepeuhotel.com/en/ in Flores Guatemala. It is not on the island of Flores, so not at the heart of the action but it’s just a quick cab ride away and it’s also walkable for those who don’t mind. It’s a great location to stay at for those visiting Tikal. The staff was just amazing. They went above and beyond for us. I was with my teenage daughter for this part of the trip and we felt safe as two women of colour staying there. The room was clean. I ate at the on-site restaurant, the food was good and not pricey at all. Diner for me and my daughter was about 90$ total.
