If you’re looking to go out in Jaco, be ready to dance. Orange Pub is where it’s at! There are many clubs and, if you are in Jaco when it’s bustling, bouncers and staff will probably try and drag you into their clubs. Some of these clubs are XTC, Republik, Black Marlin Beach Club, and the Back Room. Republik was nice because there is a pool in the center and the club is inside, but there is much more space here than other clubs.
To get the night started, I recommend starting at Jaco Bar, Mono Verde for $2 margaritas, or somewhere else along the strip because there is so much along the strip.
PS: if you’re out late, you will most likely see s workers. It is legal and there are many of them.
Jaco was a good first experience. Besides the excursions it is best to have pre planned activities such as the beach, food etc. Our Atv tour was fun and reasonably priced. We used adventuretourscostarica.com and did the Tour De La Paz Rain Forest Atv tour. The tour was 3 hours for 95$. They had a number of other package rates and times as well. It was well worth the 95$.
