We did 2 days in Singapore and that’s enough time. It’s pretty tiny. We did a night cruise which gave some good history and great views, lot’s of photos! We also did a food tasting tour through Tripadvisor, which was totally worth it. We got to visit a few Hawker Stations and try food that we otherwise wouldn’t have tried, due to a language barrier. All the food was amazing! As some others have noted, Singapore is pricey. Everything is imported, so their cost of living is HIGH! Food is cheap, but that is it.
We bit the bullet and stayed at Marina Bay Sands for the views and the infinity pool. It’s pricey, but it’s close to everything and the experience was top tier! It also has access to the Gardens by the Bay and the light show at 7:45 & 8:45 each day, we took that in on night 2 and it was beautiful.
If you have some time, the cable car is a nice visit at sunset. We had the unfortunate pleasure of getting stuck, but still had lovely views of the sun going down. Also, if we’d had 1 more day, we would have visited Sentosa, which is where the beaches are and a dolphin park and some other fun places to go.
Singapore is beautiful. but it’s pricey. It’s great to visit as a stopover, but I’m not sure I’d plan an entire trip around it.

To be honest , i didn’t like so much Singapore . For me it’s a business and luxury city . Compare to other country in south east asia it’s expensive except the food . The food is good and similar to Malaysia . Chinatown and little india are nice to visited . During the night Singapore it’s wonderful specially the gardens by the bay .

Singapore…This is without doubt, my fave city of them all!! It has only taken one solo trip here to realise this that’s because I was totally mesmerised by it all. Only downside is the extreme humidity, I’ve never experienced anything like it, anywhere!! I went for seven nights which included the formula 1 race weekend of 2018, so already I was in love. Managed to bag myself a weeks stay at the iconic Marina Bay Sands too which further enhanced my impression of Singapore. I had to swim in that unbelievable infinity pool and the only way to do that was to be a guest of the hotel. Included in your stay if you opt for it, is the choice of breakfast in three of it’s amazing restaurants. OMG, I couldn’t wait to wake up every morning just for that thrill. As nice as MBS is, you can’t eat there every night. There are way to many other places to check out. The Hawker centres are especially good for that. Great local cuisine at truly affordable prices. And so much atmosphere too! You’ll never be disappointed eating at one of these establishments. China town in Singapore is like a city all of its own. It’s incredible! Barter, barter, barter. Some really cool stuff is up for grabs if you have the gift of the gab. Same could be said for little India also. One of the first things you notice when you get off the train at the aptly named station, (little India) is the amazing aromas of all the different spices and food. You could actually be right in the middle of Bombay. I knew I wanted to eat here, so I just chose the fullest restaurant of the many dotted around. That’s always a good pointer isn’t it! Food suggested the same! Back to those aromas, there are an array of temples with the most delightful smells of burning incense sticks everywhere. They really arouse your senses. If you’re happy to take your shoes off, you’re welcome in any of them, and if you leave an offering to the gods, you can give thanks and gratitude for all that you have. You can repent your sins too. All in all, Singapore is a melting pot of infusions from around Asia. (Hope I’ve said that right) if you’re planning a trip here for leisure/business, and it’s your first time, you have so much to look forward to. I haven’t even touched on the symphony of light show in the gardens of the bay, the cool as hell shopping malls, or even the night safari, all fabulous experiences. What I will say though, your trip here won’t be complete until you’ve ventured down to the Raffles hotel long bar for an iconic Singapore sling cocktail. This is the home of this drink. I flew here with Singapore airlines, and they served up a pretty ok sling, but when you’ve had one from the long bar, you know you’ve landed!! I wouldn’t hesitate to return here, there’s still so much I didn’t get to do.

The food was one of the highlights of my trip to Singapore. You could create an entire itinerary around visiting the city’s many hawker centers, which are open air food courts with different vendors. The prices are very affordable. I had a full meal at Ah Tai Hainanese Chicken Rice in Maxwell Food Center for less than $10. Some other must try dishes are chili crab, fried carrot cake, mutton murtabak (Singapore Zam Zam has the best), Hokkien prawn mee, and the Singapore Sling (invented at the Raffles Hotel).

Singapore, to date, is my favorite country!

Getting to Singapore and travelling to our hostel was super easy as we could just hop on a train and maneuver ourselves easily. At the airport, we got transport cards that allowed us access to all types of transport– train/bus etc– and they could be refilled if needs be. Our hostel was along Boat Quay, which was great as it was central and allowed for travel on foot to various places. as well as easy access to the subway.
Firstly, there are a bunch of museums and galleries to visit like The National Museum of Singapore, Asian civilizations museum, and Singapore art museum- there is a richness in history and culture to learn in these beautiful structures.
Gardens by the bay is also a MUST SEE when in Singapore, peace just fills you as you as you walk through this amazing site. – We went at night, and seeing it in that view was just incredible, there’s a lot more than just the flower domes, and one can really make an evening or afternoon date of it.
We also went to Singapore Botanic Gardens, which was one of the largest I’ve personally seen- you’re going to need TIME to fully enjoy this place; but it’s so worth it.
Lastly, Sentosa is it’s own little gem– there are a bunch of activities to do here, but we went specifically for Universal Studios. and it was AWESOME.

Singapore is a must-see for any traveler, and I highly recommend the trip.

Hi all. I spent 3 nights in Singapore and I can tell you that I was so delighted to make this little trip to Singapore.
it is a fantastic place with lots of things to do, even if it seems. first of all I was visited at the Mandarin Marina hotel, there are lots of beautiful things to see, luxury shops, restaurants and all kinds of activities for you to stroll in the middle of the afternoon. The interior of the hotel is just fabulous. the sand bay marina is also a must, the interior is modern and very pretty. the exterior also has its charm with its very special and unique shape. the opportunity for some to discover the swimming pool which is located on the roof of this magnificent hotel complex. possibility of having a drink without necessarily staying the day or even reserving a room to take advantage of the panoramic view. the garden by the bay is also a place to visit, there are several places to discover including the floral fantasy which is for me the best attraction of the Garden, the cloud forest and the floral dome as well as the main square with the trees (supertrees ) which offer an astonishing spectacle, day and night
At nightfall, the supertrees light up and benefit from the play of lights and projected images, and a sound atmosphere then makes the place magical. you have to go there day and night. the little india district is very good for staying there. it is well located and you can find good hotels at good prices in this area. Indian cuisine is put to good use with many restaurants and fastfood everywhere in the neighborhood. several markets and souvenir shops are also located in this area and it is very pleasant to market day and night in this district which is very secure and safe. the metro is the fastest and safest way to get to places. there are a lot of taxis but they don’t go quickly because the roads are limited to 50 km / h and a bit expensive. therefore privileged public transport because it is a good means of transport for cheap. there are also other neighborhoods to see such as the Arab and Chinese districts which are also pleasant and culturally interesting. otherwise the airport has a gigantic lush and luxuriant complex with the gondola head as a sublime indoor waterfall not to be missed. I have been there twice to appreciate this marvel and even the gardens which surround them on other floors. The museum of art and science is also an endrot to be visited. It is this tulip-shaped structure that you can see next to the Marina bay sands hotel which houses this museum. Entrance is $ 15 and to be fair, the visit was not what I expected.
There are few interesting rooms for adults so we quickly went around but if you are with your family, this can be really interesting because there are a lot of activities, mini attractions and games dedicated to children. and why not to adults who would like to return to childhood
That said, this place is still quite original and stunning, the play of light and projections are incredible
The exhibitions are super creative and always in the futuristic and modern spirit. if you want to see photos and other info about singapore; go to my Instagram account (publication and story)

there is truly only one place to stay in Singapore – The Marina Bay Sands. Worlds longest Infiniti pool. With a beautiful mall, casino and many attractions attached to the hotel. The view atop the Space-ship looking hotel is to die for. Surprisingly, it is not ultra expensive giving the amenities with it and near it. Bucket list item! STAY HERE!

Singapore reminds me of a tropical New York City! While there is not a lot of historical sites the city makes up for that with the amazing nightlife, restaurants and futuristic architecture. We loved the nightlife around Arab Street, Clarke Quay and Sentosa. Some nice spots to checkout are Lime House Caribbean Bar, 1Altitude Rooftop bar, Atlas, and Bikini Beach Bar. Unlike other SE Asia countries Singapore is pretty expensive with first world accommodations. Singapore is like a tropical Manhattan so the expect the drinks to be a little expensive depending where you go. You’ll be amazed how clean the city is and the public transportation is awesome! Everyone speaks English and the locals are used to expats! Singapore is definitely worth a visit and you won’t be disappointed!

I suggest watching David Bordains Netflix episode first before going. The food is a absolute must here and it’s so good! Also exploring the Gardens by the Bay at night is stunning! I suggest going during Christmas time. They do a lot of extra stuff to that makes it a better show. I also suggest the boat hotel rooftop pool. View of the whole city and the panoramic pool view is just one of a kind!

I took a trip to Singapore for my birthday and had a great time. It is very diverse so you can experience Chinese and Indian culture without going far. The nightlife here is great. A friend and I got pulled on stage to dance at a Latin club. It is a very clean place, you can’t even shew gum or take a water bottle down into the subway station. I would definitely recommend experiencing Singapore around Chinese New Year.

Singapore has definitely top the list of my favorite country to visit. I travelled with my friend and we stayed for 4 days in four points by Sheraton, it is located in Robertson quay so it was right in the middle of all tourist attraction. I’ve always heard that Singapore was expensive but that was not my experience, compared to Dubai it was way cheaper. The average we would spend on taxi was 12 Singapore dollars which is less than 10 US dollar. There’s so much to do from visiting the Beautiful gardens by the bay to exploring marina bay mall, visiting little India and Chinatown and of course the universal studio is a must visit. As a vegan, I had the best meal ever, there’s a lot of vegan restaurants but my favorite was (the bowl co) in Chinatown. Traveling while black was a different experience, no one stared or asked where you from. Everyone minds their business. It was really refreshing to see blacks, white and Asians just living together peacefully and every one just gets along. I definitely see myself going back in the near future.

Singapore was great! We did all the touristy things. We took the cable cars, went to the Observatory Deck at Marina Bay Sands, visited Little India, Chinatown, and Gardens by the Bay. We also visited both malls.

We had an amazing time and Singapore is a beautiful and affordable city for tourists because the USD is worth more. However, it is super expensive for the locals who are not Crazy Rich Asians.

Definitely will be back to Singapore, I highly recommend it. it has one of the most efficient taxi systems I’ve seen and has the nicest airport ever. The airport even has a butterfly garden which we visited. It’s super clean and fun. However, the food is not great. I was a little hungry in Singapore until I found a Popeyes and it was better than in the US. I stayed away from traditional Asian food as I got sick on the first night.

I love love Singapore! I’ve felt the safest in that country! There are so many things to do and many places to visit! Universal studios, sentosa, indoor skydiving, gardens by the bay. I’ve been there twice and each time was super memorable. Travelling while black tip, if you’re a tall dark African man, you could be assumed for Michael Jordan and people would want to take pictures with you! Lol! Every was so helpful though, the people are so warm and friendly!

I had the pleasure of visiting several big cities in SouthEast Asia for work and out of these destinations Singapore provided the best experience far. Not only is Singapore one of the most safe, clean, and beautiful modern cities but it also has some of the best food you can find! Let’s be real, as a black man, food is one of my main concerns when traveling Internationally. Conversing with the locals who thankfully spoke English, describe Singapore as a melting pot of many Asian Thai cultures. The key travel tip to enjoy as much of the food as possible is by visiting at least two of the Hawker centres. A hawker centre or cooked food centre is an open-air complex in Singapore, housing many stalls that sell a variety of inexpensive food. I visited the Old Airport Road ( best reviews) and Changi Village Hawker Centre’s and they did not disappoint! Singapore also has fine dining, Seafood, and many more options to choose from. There’s also plenty of sight seeing to accomplish like the Marina Bay Gardens, Super Trees and the Nightly light shows at the Marina Bay Sands. I have no doubt that you will enjoy Singapore and I plan to visit again with a group of friends!

    Traveling While Black

I traveled to Singapore for two days in September. I traveled 17 hours from LAX and my flight was a breeze. My boyfriend lives in Singapore and we were going to be traveling to several countries for two weeks. My boyfriend went to work so I got to explore the city. I took the cleanest train ever and went to a temple and visited the Marina Bay Sands. He lives in the Geyland area and as I was walking back to his condo alone several Indian/Asians yelled from a restaurant “That’s a pretty N****r and they must have said it about 10 times. I walked so fast and just turned the corner because I was in another country and I couldn’t react with words or violence . You can actually go to jail in Singapore for chewing gum so I already knew my consequences for popping off would have been crazy. I just couldn’t believe I was called that by several Indians who were even darker then me. It just showed me how ignorant people in the world are. The country is clean, beautiful, pricey and very humid at all times. Traveling while black was not a great experience but I’m hopeful that if you visit it won’t happen to you. It’s still an incredible place to visit and explore.

While returning from Bali we made a stop in Singapore (September2017).
If you go to Asia you have to stop there just to see how creative they are. The city is very high tech modern and yet green, safe with beautiful gardens. We stayed in The Bicycle Residence for three nights . I recommend it for the price, it’s less expensive than an hotel but has all the commodities and the perfect location (15mn bus from the city center, Marina Bay ect..) .
    Must see/ do
    – Take a cruise around the Marina Bay
    – Go to the night sound and light show of Garden by the Bay
-Visit Singapore Botanical gardens (simply breathtaking) inside you have the National Orchid Garden (we took billions of pictures :)
-Shop in Orchard Road (well it’s quite expensive…but the choice and variety of food is amazing ) and it’s interesting to see their fashion very unique and creative.
    – Go to Chinatown for traditional food in small family restaurants. You’ll find exotic fruits, juices…
travelling while black was fine i mean Asians are very curious, they are always surprised when they see black people but we had no issue at all.

I only had a short time in Singapore but there is alot to see. The subway system is incredibly efficient and easy to use. I got the subway pass at the airport and if you go back to the airport station as you leave they will refund about half the cost of the subway pass at the station desk. Some stations even have employees you can ask for help on how to get around. There is a little India that has brightly colored buildings for those instagrammed pictures and tons of shops. The food was good there and tasted fresh. Also there was alot of street art and some open exhibits I saw at a park. Another area is China town with a huge hawker center and lots of Chinese restaurants and shops. I found the souvenirs here to be very cheap and sometimes you can haggle the price but sometimes the quality was lacking. The famous cheapest Michelin star meal can be found here. I was to late to go to the actual stall but I tried soya sauce chicken at their flagship restaurant. It left a lot to be desired and didn’t live up to the hype. I also visited downtown which has the iconic garden by the bay and sands marina hotel. Both are really cool and easily accessible to get pictures and explore. The Sands can be seen from quite far away and had shops as well. Finally the Jewel at Singapore airport is a must see, it really is incredible. You can take the train between terminals to get to it. And the best is it’s free to see. I’ve heard many people say Singapore can be expensive but if you are on a budget it is still doable. The subway pass after refund was about 10 dollars for what I think is unlimited service. And souvenirs were pretty on par with most other Asian countries in price. I also was able to take in a lot of sites which were public or free. I didn’t feel I needed a guide as it was so easy to navigate. So I saved on paying any tour ticket. Again this is my cheap list of things I did while there which I thought were worth having a look at.

During my recent visit to Singapore, this past August of 2019 was fantastic. The beautiful city is very clean and well kept. I was more interested to indulge in the retail therapy experience so I decided to travel to Chinatown. When visiting you will find a ton of really cool bazaars. The area was very busy and vibrant also full of color. Chinatown offers a lot of options for traditional Chinese food which I loved and enjoyed. Everyone was nice and polite I didn’t feel like a foreigner. Seeing some of the beautiful Buddhist temples was a really neat attraction. Whenever in Singapore stop by and visit Chinatown the shopping is affordable especially for Souvenirs.

I spent New Years in Singapore. I stayed here for about three days before going to Bali. I didn’t really know too much about Singapore, just knew it had a reputation of being super clean. My friend from London had a friend who lives there so we stayed with him and ended up saving a lot of money as hotels are pretty expensive around this time of year.

First thing I noticed is that there are little to no black people there. So they will stare. Many people asked to take pictures, especially on New Years. Being black here they do stare at you as if you are a celebrity, but the locals are very friendly. Just more so fascinated with our culture and beautiful skin!

There are lots of malls here and they are pretty nice! Before coming I’ve always heard that Singapore was pretty expensive for Asia but found that it wasn’t too bad. Food was pretty affordable and tasty. I loved their smoothies.

I will say that Singapore is SUPER clean! It was refreshing seeing a culture that was so clean.

My least favorite part was the nightlife as it’s very different from the United States. We celebrated New Years at a local hip hop club in Clarke Quay. It was okay. Nothing too spectacular.

My favorite part was the Art and Science museum. Very cool things to do there! Definitely would recommend going there and the botanical gardens!

I would recommend going to Singapore especially if you want to go to Bali. Going to Singapore first for a day or two and then catching a really cheap flight to Bali. From Singapore my flight to Bali was about $120 round trip!

Singapore was great although I was only there for one day. I definitely plan to return. The architecture was definitely different and should be experienced. The food was amazing! Authentic Chinese food options for sure. There was a Little India also I didn’t get to enjoy but it smelled delicious because it was filled with restaurants. There were not many black people and I got a lot of stares, but no questions and I was not bothered.

If you love to shop and malls then Singapore is the place for you! There is literally a mall everywhere or so it seems and most of the malls are high end up scale. One of the best areas to shop is Orchard Road. There is also tons of restaurants over there.

Gardens by the Bay is a pretty cool place. The Supertrees and the light show is a must see. The Flower Dome and the Cloud Forest is also located there but I personally thought it was overrated.

Haji Lane is a cool hipster looking street with boutique shops and restaurants.

Bugis Street is near Chinatown I believe and that is a great place to get cheap souvenirs and cheaper eats.

The night life area is Clarke Quay. Lots of bars and restaurants

Also Singapore airport is a pretty nice with a free movie theater, butterfly garden, and shops. There’s is way more stuff there like a pool, hotel, etc. but I didn’t get a chance to see all that. Great place for a layover.

Be prepared to be stared at, but also feel like a local celebrity. You often will find that your one of few black people in Singapore – I was there for 2 weeks and the only black person I saw was my friend I came with. When we went out, many people stared at us on the MRT (Singapore’s subway station) and everyone often asked us to take pictures with them. However, no one was rude and I had no issue when ordering food, shopping at local spots or engaging in conversations with the locals. English is spoken by almost everyone and I found people to be friendly/helpful when asking for directions or where to eat. I would note that Singapore is PRICEY, so if you are trying to save some money head to Chinatown or Little Indie for food and souvenirs.

On 11/1 I celebrated my birthday in Singapore and honestly I didn’t know much about Singapore. I was actually really surprised from the airport to the food to the hospitality. First day there i went to Singapore mega hawker station called Maxwell Road Hawker and this is where you can get a variety of food under $10 and it’s amazing. I went on the Singapore Flyer where you can see the skyline of Singapore. Took some pics in front of the Merlion. I encourage you to grab a drink at Clark Quay which is a hip little spot and also have dinner in little India. My very last day I stayed at Marina Bay Sands and it was ok but the infinity pool on the 57th floor made it better. Also, the train station is below Marina Sands so I would suggest hopping on the MRT and go to Chinatown for some shopping and food because the food at Marina Bay is a bit pricey. Chinatown also has a huge hawker station. One last thing, download the app GRAB which is just like Uber but cheaper, it’s very helpful. Thanks Singapore for the great first experience.

After 10 days in Thailand I wanted to relax for a few days before going back home. Singapore was a close stop from Bangkok about a 2 hour plane ride. The flight cost was around $225 dollars I traveled in November). Took an uber from the airport to the hotel it was a 20 minute ride.

Staying at the Marina Bay Sands hotel: the reason why I decided to stay in this amazing hotel even with the high price tag ($300 a night) was because my stay in Singapore was going to be sweet and short, it was everything I wanted for my weekend in getaway. You are walking distance to A LOT of the main attractions in Singapore.

You can only have access to the infinity pool if you are staying in the hotel (and lets be real I needed that Instagram pic lol). What an amazing few!!!! The rooftop of this hotel is breathtaking (you can purchases access to the rooftop if you are not saying in the hotel). There is a few bar and restaurants all have incredible few.

The hotel features , shopping stores, art science museum, casinos if you want to step out and explore the country take the train right the outside of the hotel. Traveling within Singapore is fairly easy.

The last night of a dream come true trip ,we decided to celebrate and dress to impress, we choose to have dinner at the Cut by Wolfgang Puck which is located at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands (STORE) walking distance from our room. I seriously ate the best steak I ever in my life here, dinner price for 2 ($650).

    Traveling While Black

I spent 9 days in April 2018 in Singapore on a Baecation ?

Singapore is known to be one of the most expensive destinations in the World, but I did a lot of research to pull of this trip on a Budget. Roundtrip airfare from NYC was $850 per person on Cathay Pacific but there was an airline offering flights as low as $500 Roundtrip which is a steal, however after reading horror stories of reviews where the number one complaint was cramped, uncomfortable flight due to NO LEG ROOM, I decided NOT to take any chances because I’m 6ft tall, ALL legs ?
The cheaper airline was China Eastern Airlines for those who are willing to gamble the next time they have a fare sale.
This was also the longest flight I’ve ever been on, 16 hours Non stop from JFK to Hong Kong, then another 4 hours to Singapore. So bring a neck pillow and be prepared to watch a LOT of on flight movies.

Once you arrive, Singapore has no shortage of things to do, there’s something for everyone. The Foodie in me was quite pleased with the options of cuisine available, from various ethnicities and price ranges. The BEST food we had was from the Whampoa Hawker Market where multiple vendors are selling dishes for all tastes: Fish, Meat, Rice, Veggies, fresh fruit smoothies, desserts…you name it, for the MOST affordable prices you will see in Singapore ($5-7 per person will get you a filling lunch).

Singapore has Buddhist and Hindu Temples that you can visit and go inside and take pictures of (be prepared to respectfully remove your shoes).

    For those trying to get in some serious STEPS;
You can walk around and enjoy the sights, shopping and of course, Food at Chinatown and Little India.

The Hotels in Singapore are quite plentiful, so if you just want to swim in the pool, go to a restaurant, or lounge in your room and be a couch potato, that’s NOT a problem.

The highlight of things to do in Singapore was the Gardens by the Bay, the Singapore Flyer, and the Marina Bay Sands Resort Casino and Hotel which is adjacent to the very impressive Mall.

I found that the locals were for the most part very pleasant and getting around via taxi was easy and affordable. This was the ONE trip that I’ve taken where we stuck out as “Traveling While Black”, but we didn’t have any negative experiences and agreed that we would consider a return trip to Singapore, next time we will Island hop throughout South East Asia.

Just completed my 2nd trip to Singapore and I can keep going and going. I will slightly touch on food, only because you can’t do a “Things to Do” post and not discuss the amazing food and Hawker Centers everywhere. So many influences from Asia, Chinese, Korean, Thai, Indian, and all so good. You have to visit “Lau Pa Sat”. It is a Hawker Center that every night blocks off an entire street to add more seating and vendors. Must haves are Satay, Carrot Cake and .
Outside of the excessive eating I do in Singapore there is so much more. Sentosa, the man-made island is loaded with fun activities and adventures. There is always something going on there, zip lining, beach events, etc. Definitely an opportunity to visit the giant Merlion.
There are also malls and shopping everywhere, Orchard St for the high-end shopping but also, China Town, Little India and Arab St for some more souvenir items.
The highlight of my last trip though was ‘Gardens by the Bay’ Garden Rhapsody. Just the sight of the trees are spectacular and but the show definitely steals the show. It was Star Wars themed at my last visit. After the show I would recommend heading up to the Tree Top bar and taking in the views of the city. The back drop of the Marina Bay Sand and the Ferris Wheel at night makes for a great memory.

Such a advance and clean country. From the time you land at the airport you are welcomed and treated with so much respect. Clean clean clean is all I can say. The streets are super clean. Downtown Singapore is super hip and modern. I didn’t spend to much time in Singapore but I’m planing a trip to go back.

I stayed in Singapore for two days and enjoyed every moment. My favorite part of the trip was by far the SuperTree grove. The light show was breath taking. I would go again and again. I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in little India. The pool and service at that hotel was amazing. The rooms were spacious.

There is so much to do in Singapore! Singapore has so many unique places like the SuperTree Grove, Marina Bay Sands, Flower Dome and the Cloud Forest. All these places are so unique and amazing, which is why I wanted to experience a trip to Singapore. Our first stop was to the SuperTree Grove. They have a restaurant on one of the trees, which we got to enjoy. The food was okay, but the experience was amazing. We were able to watch the light show from the restaurant and we stayed long enough to see it on the ground. Just to walk around the Gardens by the Bay afterwards was so beautiful. The architecture of the buildings in Singapore, especially of the hotel, Marina Bay Sands Hotel, are breathtaking. The beauty of the lights at night is a plus. The Cloud Forest and Flower Dome are in the same area and it’s a great idea to explore them together. There is so much to see in these two areas and everything is beautiful. One of the biggest feature in the Cloud Forest is an indoor waterfall!! There is an island resort called Sentosa Island. You can take an extremely short train ride or a cable car to get there. There is a lot of family activities like an aquarium, Universal Studios, Waterpark, museums and so much more. We were able to do the Universal Studios on one of the days and on another day we did the water park. Both places were fun, however the water park was pretty small. Singapore has a plethora of culture which is evident when walking around. You’re able to go to Chinatown and get a taste of their culture as well as go to Little India and admire the Sultan Mosque and eat the best Indian food. One thing that we learned towards the end of the trip is that the train station gives discounts to tourist. You are able to get an unlimited amount of rides on public transportations for a certain amount of days. We took advantage of this for two days. This is a must if you plan on going to Singapore because the taxi rides can be expensive. Singapore is a place that is you will find tons to do and lots to eat!! You just can’t go wrong taking a trip here!
