Middelburg, Netherlands

Middelburg is a cute idealic touristy town in Zeeland Netherlands, it has two college campuses in the city center with beautiful markets every Thursday and Saturday. There are a few museums including the Zeeuws museum as well as the Zeeuws Archives. The people are friendly although it has a large older population. There are some things that made me look weird in the winter due to the Sinterklaas tradition but is overall lovely. It is a tourist destination so there are often many Germans visiting with many people working who speak some English. It is very close to two beaches one of them which is in Domburg which is lovely with a lot of beautiful places to eat. Middelburg has many bars that are often very active in the evenings. It is a trip to get there especially by train as there is only one train line to get to Middelburg which often means that trains don’t run very late and service is often suspended in the area first and is about 1.5-3 hours train from Rotterdam and Amsterdam respectively.
