An interesting city to go with bae is so calm. A lunch in the river will be amazing.
I recently traveled to Toulouse for an aerial yoga retreat. The area overall is very nice. Beautiful pink buildings (It is known as the “the pink city”) and hiking trails along the canal There are also several smaller cities nearby (45 minutes – 1 hour) that are extremely rich in history. If you are looking for morning marketplaces, cathedrals, or just complete submersion into culture outside of the average big city scene, areas like Auch and Lectoure are the perfect place. Transportation: There is an airport and train station in Toulouse. However, you will want to set up transportation to the smaller cities ahead of time. The train ride from Toulouse to Paris is approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes as well. Language Barriers: Toulouse is further south, very close to Spain. There are several Spanish speakers at the local shops and markets. French is the primary language. If you make an effort to speak some French, they will work with you. Some shops are very particular about touching items. Traveling While Black: The people are friendly for the most part. Because the cities are so small, i was not expecting to see as many black people! We are present though!
